Kate Bundle | Chief ExecutiveKate has been involved with GRG and its first support group since 1999. Practising as a family lawyer at that time, she represented many grandparents who were raising their grandchildren because of serious issues with their parents. Through that experience she gained an insight into the plight of grandparents embroiled in the family court system and the challenges they face.Her career includes experience in various marketing, communications and risk management roles in the banking industry, executive management in the professional development and training sector and editorial work. Kate served on the GRG Board as a trustee for 14 years and resigned in April 2015 to take on the communications and business development role for GRG which she held until December 2016 before being appointed Chief Executive from January 2017. Kate is responsible for the organizational leadership of GRG aligned with GRG’s vision and strategic plan including sector leadership, advocacy, communications, business development and fundraising. Since 2000, Kate has also been responsible for GRG's submissions on law and policy and the development and production of GRG’s national member summits. Lisa Braid | National Operations ManagerLisa has been responsible for the service delivery of GRG’s support services and operations which includes the supervision, coaching and training of all staff for the past 7 years. Lisa developed and facilities the Trauma Informed Care Training Programme (SALT) for GRG throughout New Zealand.She has a background as a Social Worker and has extensive experience over 22 years working in the social services and health sector for both public and private providers in roles that include in-the-field work in palliative care, mental health services, caregiver training and assessment of foster carers, service delivery management, staff management, training and policy development. Before joining GRG in November 2015, lectured for two years with NTEC an NZQA accredited training provider on Managing Service Delivery. Lisa holds a double major degree in Social Work and Education and a Post Graduate Diploma in Health Sciences majoring in Biomedical Ethics. Tricia Corin | Specialist Advocate - Financial Support & Benefits Tricia has extensive knowledge and experience of Work & Income, ACC, IRD and Disabilities Allowance matters and particularly the Unsupported Child Benefit. She has also raised her grandchild fulltime to adulthood giving her first-hand knowledge and understanding of the challenges and issues they face on their caregiver journey. As a key member of GRG’s Advocacy and Outreach service team, her role includes advising on income support entitlements, advocating for members and representing them at Benefit Review, Review of Decision hearings and Appeals at the Social Security Status Appeals Authority and in-house training of GRG staff and volunteers. Hannah Morris | Community Outreach AdvocateHannah is available for referrals from member clients needing advice and advocacy help on a range of issues that might involve dealing with Oranga Tamariki, Family Court, mental health, school and special needs queries. Based in our Auckland National Support Office, Hannah can also assist members with queries across the country and where GRG is unable to provide the support required, will advocate for clients with local agencies to link in the support needed at a local level. Hannah has a real passion for providing support to clients facing social, mental health, physical and disability challenges. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work (Hons) from Massey University and her practical experience before GRG includes working for the Anglican Trust for Women and Children, delivering the family start programme to a number of families in the Auckland region, working for the Auckland City Mission to provide outreach and support services to the homeless and various roles providing support to children who are in care for an array of reasons such as neglect, substance addictions, and physical or sexual abuse. Merle Lambert | National Support Coordinator
Merle supports our nationwide network of volunteer Support Group Coordinators including facilitating their training needs, local community support needs for groups and general supervision support for our coordinators. Merle has a strong background in advocacy and community development including support group planning, implementation and facilitation spanning over 17 years following 25 years’ experience in customer service roles. More recently Merle has worked as a Kaituhono (Change agent/Connector) for Healthy Families Far North with responsibility for contributing to the health and wellbeing of whanau living in the Far North; through activating change through social innovation involving research, co-design and experimentation. Merle has also worked as a Family/Whanau Support Worker Supporting Families in Mental Illness, as Health and Disability Advocate for the Nationwide Health and Disability Advocacy Service and as Lead Family Advisor (Mental Health Services Group) for the Waitemata District Health Board. Merle holds a Certificate in Supervision from Wellington Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Health Sciences: Health Promotion from Auckland University of Technology. |

Giselle Stalls | Client Services Administrator Giselle is a key member of our service delivery team, triaging calls to our 0800 GRANDS helpline, contacts via the website, email and Facebook along with the administration of our National Support Office in Auckland. With a wealth of experience in administrative roles, initially within the airlines and travel industry, followed by digital and print media; more recently she held Welfare Worker and Budget Advisory roles with the Salvation Army Community Ministries. In these roles, Giselle was a key member of their social services team engaged with clients accessing the foodbank, budget advisory service and assistance with home-based social support. She was also engaged in court liaison as a Diversion Supervisor, provided supervised access supervision for children per court orders for supervised contact with parents and planned and organised the running of a number of events for centre clients. She also coordinated the centre’s Christmas gift parcels and food hamper programme for over 850 families. Over the past five years, she has been a stay-at-home parent for their teen-age foster daughter who has Autism. She also volunteers for Age Concern providing companion support to older people in the community.
