Strengthening Kinship Care in Aotearoa (copy)

We're honoured to have been on the panel for recent research into Kinship Care within Aotearoa, New Zealand. This research, conducted by Dr Michelle Egan-Britan and Dr Braden Clark, explores informal and formal Kincare arrangements and provides recommendations to strengthen kinship care in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren were approached by the lead researchers to provide insight into the work we do with kin carers. We welcome the recommendations in the report and the important discussions raised in it.

Thank you to Dr Michelle Egan-Britan and Dr Braden Clark for their work on supporting kin carers across Aotearoa New Zealand.
