Caring for your grandchildren/kin full time can often feel overwhelming. You might feel sometimes like you can't breathe or get a sense of respite from the daily challenges you face.
You are not alone in this. Everyone experiences stress of some form or other at some point in their lives.
Sometimes just recognising that you are stressed and need a good cuppa and a lie down and a rest is all you need. At other times, more of a respite break is required. Respite can take many forms.
For example, arranging for the children to go on a holiday camp for a few days during the school holidays will do the trick.
See here for
camps for kids information.
At other times, the stress you feel - or indeed the stress and anxiety your grandchildren are feeling can be alleviated by reading a good book, taking up a hobby, sport or some form of exercise.
Many studies worldwide have also shown that meditation not only has a significant benefit to the physiological and neurological health of your brain, it can also greatly assist with your sense of inner peace and well-being.
There are many types of meditation practices and a wonderful set of meditations and tools to assist has been developed by members of GRG.
