Income Support and Help During COVID-19

The New Zealand Government provides support to individuals, businesses and organisations needing financial support due to the impact of COVID-19.

If you are in financial hardship, call Work and Income on 0800 559 009. 

If you are a full-time grandparent or other whānau caregiver and you are struggling to get support for your income support or essential needs, we can also advocate for you with Work and Income and agencies and community providers to help you need get the support or advice you need.

Help with Essentials During the Lockdown

If you don't have the essentials you need to get you through the lockdown (e.g. food, medication or cleaning supplies), please first try the following options to help you:

• or, check the availability for shopping online
