Our part-time Field Officers and Auckland Outreach Worker are based in Wellington, Thames and Auckland respectively and each has specialist knowledge on key issues including WINZ, CYF and Family Court. They provide advice via our Helpline nationally as well as face to face meetings, counselling and support at family group conferences, family meetings and court appearances where possible.
GRG Member Services are available nationwide.

Diane is our Founding Trustee and is also responsible for providing the day-to-day support to new and existing members on our 0800 GRANDS helpline, writing the monthly newsletter and much more.

Community Outreach and Field Officers
Diana's focus is on community capacity building and her primary goal is to help strengthen our current support groups by mentoring our volunteer Coordinators to ensure groups effectively meet the different needs of members. She also assists with the development of new groups including recruitment and training of new Coordinators.
Diana also provides support, information and advice on a range of issues affecting grandparents raising children. Diana facilitates our Support Coordinator Training Forums and our SALT (Sharing and Learning Together) Workshops together with Jill Worrall MNZM.
Tricia was a member of GRG for over 10 years raising her grandchild who is now independent. She works as a Benefits Advocate for our members and has extensive knowledge and experience of Work & Income, ACC, IRD and Disabilities Allowance matters and particularly the Unsupported Child Benefit.
Tricia can help if you are having problems with your income support or if you need specialist advice and an agent to advocate for you on your behalf..
Margaret Aspinall (Outreach Worker - Auckland only)
Margaret provides Outreach support services throughout the Auckland region in which she assists many grandparent and whanau caregiver families with a variety of issues and challenges they can face. These can include providing support and assistance at meetings such as with Strengthening Families meetings, Child Youth and Family and Family Group Conferences, Work and Income meetings, and mediation support in the Family Court as well as home visits where necessary.
Margaret has completed the Child Protection Studies Programme (NZQA Level 3) and a Diploma in Not For Profit Business Management from Unitec. She is a grandparent raising a grandchild and has three children, nine grandchildren and a great grandchild.
